This program is ideal for young managers, analysts, coordinators, and associates who do not have a business background or formal business education. As one of the most practical management courses for new managers, it provides a strong foundation for those at the start of their leadership journey. While not a prerequisite for the Mini-MBA Series, this program is an excellent steppingstone to the series designed for more senior and experienced managers.

The registration fee includes facilitation by our highly rated faculty members, course materials, results-oriented exercises, meal service (continental breakfast, lunch, and breaks) *, and a certificate of completion from the McGill Executive Institute. To successfully complete the course and receive your certificate of completion, you will need to attend all sessions and complete the pre-work for each session.

Tatiana Lamoureux Gauvin teaches in the Organizational Behavior area of the Desautels Faculty of Management at McGill University. She focuses on critical HR Management issues including diversity, cross-cultural management, workforce planning, and talent acquisition. Tatiana is also a seasoned executive education designer, instructor, and coach, helping people grow and change in organizations throughout Canada. Before joining McGill, she was a Human Resources Advisor in the Employment Staffing and Recruitment sector. She is a graduate of McGill University (Psychology & Management), with a master’s from HEC Montreal (Organizational Development), and a DESS graduate degree from Université Laval (Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion).

He has written and published four best-selling books, ranging from his pilgrimage on the Camino de Santiago to analytics, SEO, and SEM. His goal is to give clients, companies, businesses and students the tools they need to learn and use digital marketing in the best way possible. As a speaker and workshop leader, he gives talks on Digital Analytics, Social Media, SEO/SEM, Digital Marketing, WordPress, Content Marketing and his Journey on the Camino de Santiago.

Melissa Marginson

Melissa Marginson joined the Desautels Faculty of Management as a faculty lecturer in the fall of 2020 as a professor of tax and financial reporting courses in both the undergraduate and GCPA programs. She holds a Bachelor's in Commerce from John Molson School of Business - Concordia and a Graduate Certificate in Professional Accounting from Desautels. She has also a CPA designation and has completed the CPA In Depth tax program. Before teaching at Desautels, Melissa spent about 5 years working at an accounting firm, PwC, in the Canadian corporate taxation department where she worked with large Canadian private and public companies providing a variety of tax compliance and consulting services.
