Sameer Borwankar

Sameer is an Assistant Professor in Information Systems at Desautels Faculty of Management - McGill University. His research focuses on managing or moderating content platforms and the economics of multi-sided platform ecosystems. He utilizes empirical models and experimental methodologies in conjunction with machine learning tools to evaluate these topics. Because user behaviours in content platforms are usually reflected in unstructured data, he also applies conventional and machine-learning-based unstructured data analysis to quantify such behaviour changes. Prior to joining the doctoral program at Daniels School of Business (Purdue University), he worked for Cummins Inc., a Fortune 150 company, in the digital (cloud) implementation team. I have also worked as a Software Engineer in the financial services domain.
